Privacy Policy
Last updated: 27 October 2026
This policy explains how Qualifix Pty Ltd (ABN 38 679 493 228) trading as Wollongong Service Company ("we", "us", "our") handles personal information when you use wollongongservicecompany.com.au, send us an enquiry or book a repair. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
Who we are
Qualifix Pty Ltd (ABN 38 679 493 228) trades as Wollongong Service Company. We repair and service household appliances across the Illawarra and South Coast. We are based at Unit 10/12 Sylvester Ave, Unanderra NSW 2526. You can call us on 02 4229 3777 or email service@wollongongservicecompany.com.au.
What we collect
When you send an enquiry. The booking form asks for your name and phone number, and you can add a message about your appliance. We also record when you sent it and which page you sent it from.
When you call or email us. We keep the details you give us, such as your contact details and information about your appliance (for example the make, model, serial number and fault), so we can book and carry out the repair.
When you browse the site. We collect information about how the site is used: the pages you view, taps on our phone number, how you arrived (the referring site, and any campaign tags or ad click identifiers in the link), your approximate location (country, state and city, worked out from your connection), and your device type, operating system and browser. The section on cookies and analytics below has the detail.
Please do not include sensitive information, such as health or financial details, in the message box. We do not need it to repair your appliance.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry, book your repair and carry out the work.
- To keep service records for your appliance, including warranty and service history.
- To understand how people find and use this site, so we can improve it.
- To measure whether our Google ads lead to enquiries and calls.
We do not sell your personal information. Sending the booking form does not add you to any mailing list.
What happens when you send an enquiry
When you submit the booking form:
- Your enquiry is emailed to our team. The email is sent for us by Resend, an email delivery service, and arrives in our business email account, which is hosted by Microsoft.
- Your name, phone number and message are added to our job management system, which we use to book and track repairs.
- When you send an enquiry through this website, we also store it securely in a dashboard run by Pagecog, our website provider, so we can view and manage it. Pagecog handles it only on our behalf. See Pagecog's privacy policy at pagecog.com.au/privacy. The dashboard copy holds your name, phone number and message, the page you sent it from, and the random visit identifiers described below, so we can see how you found us.
- Our analytics records that a form was sent, without its contents, and the Google tag records the enquiry as a conversion for our ads (see Advertising and measurement below).
Cookies and analytics
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Some services also use your browser's local storage, which works in a similar way. This site uses the following:
| Name | Set by | What it is for | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
pc_v | Us (our own analytics, run by Pagecog) | A random visitor identifier, used to count visits | About 400 days |
pc_s | Us (our own analytics, run by Pagecog) | A random session identifier, used to follow one visit through the site | 30 minutes without activity |
_ga, _ga_H95DLE2H9L | Google Analytics | Measuring how the site is used | Up to about 13 months, depending on your browser |
_gcl_au, _gcl_ls | Google Ads | Linking an ad click to a later enquiry or call | About 90 days |
Our own analytics. Pagecog runs first party analytics for us. The pc_v and pc_s cookies hold random identifiers and no personal details. We record the pages you view, taps on our phone number, how you arrived, your approximate location and your device, operating system and browser. Your IP address is used only to block abuse and is not stored, and your full browser details are not stored either. Known bots are filtered out. This information is deleted after 25 months.
Google Analytics. Google Analytics records the pages you view, scrolling, clicks, how you arrived, your approximate location and your device. On the booking form it records when you start the form and which fields you click, but not what you type. You can opt out with Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Maps and fonts. The map in the footer is embedded from Google Maps, and the service area map on some pages loads map images from CARTO. The site's fonts load from Google Fonts. When these load, your browser connects to Google or CARTO, which can see your IP address, and Google may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site, including the booking form, still works without them.
Advertising and measurement
We advertise with Google Ads. The Google tag on this site:
- records visits and actions such as tapping our phone number or sending the booking form, so we can see which ads lead to enquiries;
- lets Google add visits to this site to advertising audiences, so Google may show you our ads on other sites; and
- uses Google Ads enhanced conversions. When you send the booking form, Google may use hashed contact details from the form, such as your phone number, to measure ad results. Hashed means the details are turned into a scrambled code before they leave your browser.
Google handles this information under its own privacy policy. You can read how Google uses information from sites that use its services, and you can turn off or limit personalised ads in My Ad Center.
Hosting
This website is hosted by Vercel, and our domain's DNS is managed through Cloudflare. When you visit, Vercel processes technical information such as your IP address and browser details to deliver pages and protect the site. The site's server runs in the United States.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with the providers that help us run our business and this site, and only for the purposes in this policy:
- Pagecog, our website provider, which builds and hosts the site, runs the enquiry dashboard and runs our own analytics using its own service providers, including Cloudflare and Railway. Railway stores the analytics data in the United States.
- Vercel, which hosts the website.
- Resend, which sends enquiry emails.
- Microsoft, which hosts our business email.
- Our job management system provider, which holds our bookings and job records.
- Google, for Google Analytics, Google Ads, Google Maps and Google Fonts.
- Cloudflare, which manages our domain's DNS and provides infrastructure that Pagecog uses for the enquiry dashboard and analytics.
- CARTO, which provides the map images on the service area map.
We may also disclose personal information where the law requires or allows it.
Overseas disclosure
Several of these providers store or process information outside Australia, mainly in the United States. This includes Google, Vercel, Resend, Cloudflare and Railway (used by Pagecog for our analytics). Other providers may also store information outside Australia. This means your information may be held or processed in the United States and other countries where these providers operate.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries and job records (emails and our job management system): for as long as we need them for your service history, warranty and our legal obligations.
- The dashboard copy of your enquiry: for as long as our service with Pagecog is active.
- Our own analytics: deleted after 25 months.
- Google Analytics and Google Ads: kept by Google under our account settings and Google's terms.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information. This site is served only over HTTPS, and access to enquiries is limited to our team and the providers listed above. No system is completely secure, but we work to keep the risk low.
Access and correction
You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it. This includes enquiries stored in the Pagecog dashboard: contact us, not Pagecog, and we will deal with it. Call us on 02 4229 3777 or email service@wollongongservicecompany.com.au. We may need to confirm who you are first. We aim to reply within 30 days.
Complaints
If you think we have mishandled your personal information, please contact us first so we can try to fix it. If we do not reply within 30 days, or you are not happy with our reply, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our website or the services we use change. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.
