A burnt-out oven element or a drifting thermostat is a straightforward fix rather than a reason to replace.
The approach is the same as anywhere: catch the corrosion early, replace the part, and the appliance goes on for years. Salt does not make appliances mysterious, it just gives them a shorter run outdoors, and the fix is ordinary once you know where to look.
